Her clinical and research interests include anxiety disorders, ethics, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS therapy), and women’s mental health, including psychiatric treatment during and after pregnancy. A Pennsylvania native, Stevenson attended medical school at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine (formerly The Commonwealth Medical College). She went on to complete a psychiatry residency at UVA and a forensic psychiatry fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine. She returned to UVA as a faculty member in 2019.
