Peter J. Panzarino, MD is a Board Certified Psychiatrist and a graduate of Yale College and Yale Medical School. He completed his internship, residency, and Chief residency at the University Of Colorado Medical Center.

Associations

Most recently he served as Vice President of Chief Medical Officer at Catskill Regional Medical Center. Prior to that he was Director of Mental Health and Chemical Dependency of Catskill Regional Medical Center, and before that held many academic and administration posts, including chair of psychiatry at Cedars-Sinai Health Systems and Associate Clinical Professor at UCLA. He was also chief of the Attending Staff at McLean Hospital, Harvard Medical School. He is a Distinguished Life Fellow at the American Psychiatric Association and a past examiner of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Panzarino combines his clinical practice with an ongoing interest in behavioral healthcare and has been involved in practice guidelines development and the integration of behavioral mental health with general medicine. His special interest is the impact of psychiatric illness, particularly depression, on physical health and illness. Dr. Panzarino is widely published in the field of psychiatry and behavioral medicine. His articles have appeared in a number of scholarly journals including the Quality Assurance Bulletin, The American Journal of Managed Care, The Journal of the Washington Academy of Science, and the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry.
