My philosophy as a doctor has been to ensure that my patients do not feel any different coming to a psychiatrist than they do any other specialty. Removing the stigma of mental illness begins with the realization that conditions affecting the brain are no different than conditions affecting any other organ system, and they should not feel any worse for taking care of those conditions. Hence our motto: "Taking care of mental health is healthcare".
