Dr. R. Ahmad is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She completed her training in General Psychiatry at Temple University and went on to become Chief Resident in the Department of Psychiatry during her time there. She is now working at her private practice in the Roswell, Alpharetta Area. She enjoys treating adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. She has experience in academic psychiatry and her academic interests include cultural and gender differences affecting responses to psychotherapy. She enjoys speaking to various organizations about her interests in psychiatry. Dr. Ahmad’s treatment approach includes combining therapy and small doses of medication to achieve the best possible result for her patients. She stays up to date on the latest research in psychiatry and uses the most current research to treat adult Major Depressive Disorder, ADHD and Bipolar Disorder.
