Education

I am duly licensed as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Psychotherapist (LMHC). I began my career in counseling psychology and, as such, have a strong foundation in a variety of therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which I continue to employ in my current role as a Psychopharmacologist. I work with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues providing medication management in combination with supportive therapy. In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each of my clients individual needs to help attain the personal growth they are striving for. I help clients realize their potential and offer a place of safety free from judgement to complete their journey of healing. I work with children, adolescents and adults ages 5+. Although I do treat individuals in the older adult population, I do not specialize in geriatric psychiatry and may refer to a specialist if indicated. I have additional training and specialization in Trauma Recovery and Autism Spectrum Disorders. I employ a humanistic approach incorporating traditional medicines and complementary supplements based on the holistic assessment and needs of each individual client. No two clients are exactly alike, therefore no two treatment plans are exactly alike, but all are developed with evidenced based practice.
